Newberry Lofts, located in "The Arts District," was originally the primary warehouse for J.R. Newberry Co., a Los Angeles grocery store chain. The building housed a candy store, blacksmith shop, and restaurant. It is a representative example of industrial warehouses from the turn of the century. Our beautifully renovated lofts feature exposed brick walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, city views, recently remodeled kitchens and baths, and elegant lighting. Conveniently located on the first floor, this loft offers a large open space for creative use and additional built-out rooms (conference room, bedroom, private office, storage). It features beautiful original 1900s exposed wood beams and high vaulted ceilings, along with modern bathrooms and kitchens equipped with stainless steel appliances. Pet-friendly building. We are a vibrant live/work creative community. Enjoy daily meditation, yoga classes, art exhibitions, comedy shows, poetry slams, wine clubs, organized community activism, and lectures on topics ranging from innovative building materials and technology to the shared economy. There is always something to participate in at Newberry Lofts, making it a welcoming place to relocate to. Situated in the Arts District, it is within close proximity to SCI-Arc, Little Tokyo, Downtown LA, Metro Red and Gold Line stops, museums, and nightlife. There is also easy freeway access to the 101, 5, and 10 freeways.
